I’m going in my usual green… and prepared to yell ‘WHO’ after EVERY player is announced.

I’ll be there. I’m looking forward to supporter summit festivities, lots of beer, and a fun match.

Ha. People can’t help themselves. They’re still voting.
(I thought I closed the poll. Maybe not.)
And John, the biggest complaint was that I didn’t include Patrick Ianni. (Must admit it was hard to know where to draw the line. I went with regular and semi-regular starters plus Roger.)

Imagine the riots if you had left Roger off.

Yet another argument for shifting to a Final at the site of one of the finalists.
Seriously though, I think home and away should persist throughout the entire playoffs, including the final. Also, MLS should implement the away goals rule. It’s not like MLS is any less subject to the issues that motivated the creation of the rule in the first place; if anything, it’s moreso.

And aj, you can see it from the elevated portion of I-5 heading into town.
(Pretty sure. I haven’t been there this week. The beginning of this post was poetic license.)

It’s interesting to see the the huge price differences in tickets, like the ones you are showing. I think if people were to take their time, and really compare all tickets that are available for an event like an MLS Cup, fans could get tickets for a reasonable price. Thanks for the post.

Ha! It’s *still* working. I’m going to do nothing but vote for Jhon Kennedy Hurtado daily, as long as it lets me. Or until I forget. Which will be over the weekend, I expect.

Argentina looked great in the second half against Spain a few weeks ago after being dominated in the first half. Maradona is still figuring things out as a coach and manager, but things seem to be settling down. Keep in mind that he had to deal with Juan Riquelme quitting the national team right at the beginning of his stint. I suspect that Argentina will go further in the World Cup than people think. They aren’t up with Brazil or Spain of course but they are looking better every time they play, which is where you want to be leading up to the WC. Plus they have Messi. Plus, they’re young now. I would never ever bet against Maradona. He was’nt equipped to do anything in life, but look at what he’s done and where he is now.

you can see that they have done something to the needle from I-5, but you can’t really tell what.
Hopefully they will fly an MLS flag from the needle on gameday.

Gary I loved watching that game and I didn’t really think the official was doing a good job there. The touch of Spain is ridiculous, they’re so smooth it’s beautiful to watch.

Gary, time will tell. He is revered as a god in Argentina (literally — have you seen the Church of Maradona?) It is this that will save him. Or possibly destroy him.
I recently saw Maradona and France’s Raymond Domenech described as “the coaches fighting for the title of who can do the least with the most talent.” We’ll find out how true that description is for both next summer.

I’m not going to be at the game, because it’s not worth flying up from SF, but I have no love for any team in MLS who’s name doesn’t begin with S and end with eattle Sounders, so it makes no difference to me who wins. However, I’d love to see LA jump on Beckerman and hold him down while they shave that stupid Sideshow Bob ‘fro off. That would definitely get my attention.

Hmmm CarlosT has a point. If Beckerman promises to shave his head if RSL loses then I will cheer for LA.

Hmm. What if he promised to shave if they WIN?

I got a recorded phone call from kasey keller reminding me to go to the MLS cup.

Laurie, I will shave anything you want if the Sounder’s fans support RSL and they win.
Checkout my last blog entry for RSL about the whole hair thing with Beckham versus Beckerman. C’mon. Seattle is way more in alignment with RSL handing the LA dudes a good “whoopin’”. You have to root for the underdogs here. Yoo many soccer pundits are trying to give the game to LA – I mean, why even play it, right? RSL is facing the same kind of non-believer press that the Sounders would have faced.
Give the boys in Claret and Cobalt some Seattle Love!

I’m gonna be pulling for Salt Lake. I’ve watched every playoff game for both teams and Real has looked better. They beat the Crew, and deservedly so. LA tripped bass-akward through the first two legs. RSL deserves it.
Second, I’m an Arsenal fan and will admit to reading The Sun. If LA wins, then I’m gonna have to look at a big picture of Beckham with something about him conquering America and I DO NOT want to see that article.
