By: Laurie | November 25th, 2009
We lose Sebastien Le Toux. I am crushed. I have nothing else to say.

The Philly guy loves Seba. Thought he played very well. It sucks. But I will cheer for Seba every time he returns.

I am SHOCKED by those choices, to be honest. Nowak must have plans to splash out big money for names outside of MLS, is all I can say.

Am I thankful or insulted that no Dynamo was taken?

Both, Jeremy. Both.

Oh, g? we can hope. But in the presser Nowak sounded really sold on Le Toux. And they’ll play him at forward, where he shines. I’m afraid I’m not seeing it happening.

LeToux is way overpaid. Amazing that Philly took him and that salary.

I was thinking they were going to pick up Nyassi not Seba.
All I can say is that Seba is a winner (USL1 and US Open Cup)and Philly is lucky to have him.Posted from

While Le Toux was a fan favorite I am glad that he was chosen over Riley, I did not feel like LeToux made an impact in the MLS season, he has great fitness and decent speed, and a large heart but lacks the other qualities neccessary for him to be an effective threat.

I am GUTTED. Absolutely gutted. *wiping tears away*

Now we get to see what Fresh New Red Cards Riley will earn next season…OH Joy!

By the end of the season, Le Toux was coming off the bench in the 70th minute, and his impact on the pitch was minimal when he got in there. That’s the bottom line, and that’s why I’m glad they took him instead of Riley.
I like Seba a lot, but losing him is less of a loss (performance-wise) than losing Riley.
Just my $.02

Yeah I don’t care about strategy and whatever…I liked Seba.

My head says we’re fortunate Riley wasn’t taken and Seba’s numbers just don’t compute, but my heart says it’s a dark, dark day in Seattle. Every photo of Seba in Sounders colors today just makes me sadder. Such a classy guy. Such heart.
