I keep trying to figure out how the transfer money works with the MLS. I know Seattle bought 65% of the right, but because they are an MLS team do they give those rights to the league? I know he is not a signed MLS player, however how would they work the transfer rights? Has Seattle just thought outside the box and bought rights of a player as a private entity, with the ability to negotiate with the league? Also, if they sell the rights to Sevilla, do they get all that money and are they able to use it to pay a transfer fee. Or does the MLS pay the transfer fees, which they won’t. Seattle has plenty of money to pay a transfer fee without the added funds. If you can find the answers to these questions, I would love to hear them.
