Awww. ACES Loves Us SO MUCH!

So I was going to the Sounders FC site to check to be sure I ordered my playoff tickets and absent-mindedly typed in “Seattlesoundersfc.com” instead of the real “Soundersfc.com.”

Look what I found!

Apparently ACES loves is SO much that they’re willing to buy up domain names all around us just to spread the hate. Made me smile. (They’re so CUTE when they do juvenile little things like this!)

Forget the Open Cup Trophy. Forget the playoffs. It’s jealousy like this that shows we’ve truly arrived.

  I think ACES is a good laugh. It’s been good to have them around this year mixing things up. Even if we don’t like what they do and vice versa, they are certainly not boring. If we’re honest with ourselves, the kind of color they provide is nice to have around. I mean they aren’t eating our young. All they’ve got is some silly photos, 70 or so members, a couple hundred scarves, and a cup competition. All focused on us. Why again does that piss us off? Why again would we pretend they don’t exist so they go away?

  I say egg them on! Talk some smack to keep them interested.

  We don’t want ACES to go away. I bet that’s why the FO lets them do what they do with the URL.

  Laurie, it looks like the URL seattlesoundersfc.com is just redirecting to the ACES page (the page renders a little differently if you go directly to the aces site), therefore it is not probably hosted at the URL the Timbers guys have, so that alone doesn’t tie the Timbers to ACES. Just saying. If the owner of that domain name wanted, they could just as easily redirect it to SoundersFC or any other team website for that matter, or even a porn site.

  That alone is why our FO needs to get off their butts and get this URL back.
