It Should Have Been 3-1…

By: Steve | August 21st, 2009

at half-time.

Jaqua, Montero, Ianni all should have scored. Montero could not have gotten any closer on his penalty, but Ianni and Jaqua both blew it from less than 5 yards out right in front of the net… Please, feel free to leave your laments, especially in the form of poetry and I will try and take a more in-depth look into this annoying and irritating loss later today….

I hate John Harkes. Sorry it didn’t rhyme. Other than that I was very excited for this game and I got disappointed big time.

I dont know about Ianni’s chance. The defender did a good job manning his post and giving Pat little space to fit it in.

The Sounders had the home crowd,
    30,000 jumping in place.
Too bad Shalrie shut them all up,
now the Galaxy’s in 2nd place.

    :)

Sounders fans, I’m afraid I must give Colin my “Former Galaxy Blogger’s Pass” on that one. Not that I enjoy doing it.

    The trick to scoring
Is to take the odd chance
Shoot it, and shoot it often
between the posts, before I crap my pants

Oh, and another ode to the ref (same guy as at the Chicago game)
It’s titled, Sounders and everyone else

Blanco falls, and Ljundberg is carded
Sounders miss scoring oppourtunities thanks to Toledo
Nyassi is pushed into the boards, and he is carded
Maybe this ref should go home to Escondido (and stay there)

But really, he isn’t welcome IMO in Seattle anymore

Off topic, I realized last night that I really need the Sounders theme song as played by SoundWave as a ringtone. Can anybody make this happen for me?
