Le Toux’s Penalty (Video)
By: Laurie | April 29th, 2009Just want to offer up a huge thanks to everybody who puts up homemade videos after the games. And that goes triple for untelevised games like this one.
You do know that this is the only view of the game a lot of us will ever have, right? Gracias, grazie, merci, many thanks!
This is the first goal, the penalty by Sebastien Le Toux after Levesque was dragged down in the box.

The Sounders have a recap of the game on their website now: http://www.soundersfc.com/media-library/Videos/Features/2009/04-April/090428-Real-Salt-Lake.aspx

Thanks, Carlos! That’s never my first choice because their site runs so slow on my computer. But if they have USOC video, i’ll definitely make an exception.

For some reason it makes me laugh that they subtitle Le Toux’s English. In English. (What was the movie or comedy routine like this?)

Yeah, I never get that either, especially since LeToux’s English has gotten really good. He still has an accent and always will, but it’s not very thick and he’s very easy to understand.
The movie thing that comes to mind is the subtitles for jive in the Airplane movies, but it’s not exactly the same thing.

Ha. The Airplane scene — love that one too.
But the one I was thinking of is by a group like Monty Python, but I don’t think it’s actually Monty Python. It’s a guy who gets very pissed off that his English words are being subtitled in English.
It will come to me eventually, at which point I’ll post about it and link to the Le Toux video.
