Sounders FC Update
By: Steve | May 5th, 2008Only 330 days until kick off!
-It looks like there is a lot left to do.
-It’s Derby Week in the Northwest
-The Seattle Sounders got their first win this year by blanking the Atlanta Silverbacks 2-0 last night. It was a rematch of last year’s championship which Seattle won 4-0. Future MLS Seattle Sounders FC player Sebastian LeToux recorded his first goal of the season.
-Even Seahawks GM Tim Ruskell knows that soccer shouldn’t be played with football lines on the field.
-Ticket pricing information has been released and can be found here.
On another note, I was wondering if anyone (I’m looking at you, Laurie) will be attending the Brazil v. Canada came at QWest on May 31st? If so, would anyone be interested in writing their impressions, not necessarily of the play itself, but of the general atmosphere and feeling of the stadium? Let me know.

The news about the football lines is the best I’ve heard in some time. I absolutely hate seeing end zones and yard lines on the pitch. And it is great that the Seahawks are on board with this as well. Although I suppose it helps that Paul Allen signs all their paychecks and is also an owner for the Sounders.
As for the Brazil game, I will certainly be attending that event. How often will Brazil make it out to where I live? I’m guessing not very often. I’ve got tickets in the “Hawk’s Nest” for anyone who knows the stadium. Bought my tickets early through the Sounders pre-sale.

YES YES YES to Brazil. I also bought tickets early. We are as close as I can get to the pitch and plan to squeal like a little girl if Julio Cesar and/or Maicon get called up.

I’ll be there at the Brazil game too (as well as the home opener this weekend)… and I’d definitely be up for writing about either. Let me know. Go Sounders!

I don’t have tickets yet, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going. Unless they’re sold out. In which case: snoozer-loser.
