I could not agree more with the Hartman pick. Although here in KC people are saying he’s too old and too expensive, I think that the success that Seattle had last year had to do with the veteran experience and the calming influence Hartman had.
He was my MVP this year and he’ll only be 36 in May (Keller 40) . Plus, you leave KC with the alternatives of Boris Pardo and Eric Kronberg holdind a suspect back line.
Bye bye KH. KC front office still screwing up.

You know, I have liked Riley style since his days in New England. That being said, he wouldn’t be the biggest loss for Seattle. LeToux on the other hand . . . yikes.

Le Toux has a over valued Salary for his production level. I don’t think philly will be taking him.

I agree with gstommylee. His production wasn’t great this year. (But I expect him to get back to 2007 form as soon as the Expansion Draft is over!)

Le Toux played as a winger than his natural position which provided to some of the poor production imo.

Actually the likely sounder to be leaving isn’t Riley but King he has ties to philly for soccer.

I’d be good with King leaving if he’s going to get some playing time. Win-win.

A Philly writer (can’t find the link) listed his predictions, and included King on there because he has a Philly “connection” … born in Medford, NJ (about 25 miles east of the city).

He’s also included Convey, Larentowicz, Curtin, Albright, etc because they all have ties to the city (born in the region, attended school here, etc). Not for anything, but I want a list of the best players available, not a list of local lads doing the soccer-remake of “Invincible”.

If some of these guys happen to be the “best available”, I’m all about it, but to pick them solely because they are Philly born and bred is ridiculous.

There is a possibility that seattle will trade parke to philly in order to avoid losing someone in the draft. So we have to see what happens

Andrew, I also read where Peter Nowak said this is a bunch of BS and he won’t pick players for sentimental reasons. :-)
