Why I Hate Fox Soccer

I was killing time with the TV on Fox Soccer yesterday evening. I had it playing on one of their news shows (I never pay attention to what or who, but the guy was American.)

So he starts in talking about the Seatttle game, and I’m thinking Excellent! We’ll get a recap of how well the team played.

But…no. What did we get instead?

Fredy Montero did not make the trip! He’s…oh, how shall we say this? Ill-slash-under-police-investigation!

Then he gave us a huge, aren’t-I-clever smirk.

I hate the effing media.

  Yeah, FSC does fail in many areas. But, given the amount of tv time soccer gets in the US, it think its an unfortunate matter of beggars can’t be choosers.

  Also, before the game yesterday, the news reader said that Montero missed the plane “due to ‘flu’ ” – with quotes and all.
